Corporal Napoleon Mitchell, Jr. Obituary

Brother Napoleon Mitchell, Jr. was born on December 20, 1946 to the late Napoleon Mitchell, Sr. and Mattie Mitchell. He entered into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

He was married to his loving wife of forty years, Gloria Mitchell, together they had five children, Tiffany Benjamin (Derrick Thomas) of Jacksonville, Florida, Eva Williams of Birmingham, Alabama, Jimmy Berry (Tonjia) of Birmingham, Alabama, Johnnetta Berry of Birmingham, Alabama, and Ethan Byers, Sr. (Kameliah) of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Bianca Berry, Zykeia Berry, Jamyra Berry, Kentoria Carlisle, Nadia Berry, Latoshia Stephens all of  Birmingham, Alabama and Elexis Benjamin; special grandson, Ethan Byers, Jr. Napoleon had nine siblings, Bernice Bacon, Joyce Willis, Yvonne Gordon (Lawrence), Helen West, Clareinda Mitchell, David Mitchell; three brothers preceded in death, Curtis Mitchell, Theodore Mitchell and Julius Mitchell.

Napoleon graduated from New Stanton Senior High School on June 13, 1966. He then enlisted into the United States Marine Corp until 1970. He went on to work for Amtrack for thirty-three years.

Napoleon loved watching MSNBC News and scratching lottery tickets. He leaves to cherish a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
