Ernel Leon Walker

Ernel Leon Walker was born on April 2, 1958, in Jacksonville, Florida to Virginia H. Walker and Ernest S. Walker. He was known for being a kind and caring individual. Ernel attended Susie E. Tolbert Primary School and James Weldon Johnson High School.

Ernel pursued a career as a handyman and landscaping professional. Outside of work, he enjoyed playing cards, riding his bicycle, watching television, and spending time with family and friends. Ernel also worshipped with the Church of God in Christ faith.

Ernel Leon Walker made his eternal transition on Thursday, March 21, 2024. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia H. Walker; father, Ernest S. Walker; brother, Lester Walker; brother/cousin, Michael Bannister; and niece, Sharon Noisette,

Ernel Walker is survived by his sisters, Judy Rogers, Shirley Bowens (Stan Sr.), Alma Walker, and Diane Wilturner (Mark); special names, Darrian Horton, Faith Horton, Eric Jackson, Angie McClendon, Lisa Guy, Kenny Lewis, Marvette Clark, and Patricia Owens; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends. Ernel will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
