Valondia Valencia Norris, born on June 9, 1980, in Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a caring, loving, and kind individual who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Valondia, known for her compassionate nature, dedicated her life to being a caregiver. She found fulfillment in helping and supporting others, embodying the values of empathy and selflessness.
She was a beloved member of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, under the guidance of Bishop John E. Guns, where she found solace and community.
In her leisure time, Valondia cherished hanging out with her family and friends, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.
Valondia leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. She is survived by her daughter, Leondra Perry; son, Leonard Perry, Jr.; mother, Barbara Jean Johnson; father, Ernest Johnson, Sr.; sisters, Ernesha L. Norris and Renee Cullers; brother, Ernest Johnson, Jr. (Samantha); aunts, Jacqueline Jones, Valarie McLaughlin (Wesley), Pamela Person, and Doris Banks; uncles, Melvin James Norris (Margerate), Clinton Norris, Sr., Jerome Brown, Reginald Norris, Darryl Brown (Barbara), Kenneth Brown (Deborah), Ivan Brown (Diane), and Donald Brown; special names, Melissa Sanders, Leonard Perry, Sr., Billy Clark, Kivias Davis, Sherry Clark, and Lekeidra Hamilton; and a host of other loving family members and many sorrowing friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Clinton Norris, Sr. and Lloyd Johnson, Sr.; grandmothers, Lydia Norris "Lit" and Arlene Johnson; and aunt, Vernetta E. Young.
Valondia Valencia Norris will be remembered for her unwavering love, generosity, and the positive impact she had on those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
