Alfreda Williams was born on September 23, 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida to Ulysses Bryant, Jr. and Julia Jones. She attended the public schools in Duval County. She was baptized at an early age at St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church.

Alfreda Williams was united in Holy Matrimony to Robert Blackshear, Jr. on August 26, 1968. They just recently celebrated their 51st Wedding Anniversary. She worked as a Domestic Engineer. Alfreda was a member of New Birth Christian Assembly. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, bingo and spending time with her family.

Alfreda Williams Blackshear was called home to rest on Thursday, September 26, 2019. She was preceded in death by her mother, Julia Jones Hayward; father, Ulysses Bryant, Jr.; and brother, David Williams, Sr.

Mrs. Alfreda Williams Blackshear leaves to cherish her memories, her childhood sweetheart and lifetime partner who was devoted and adored her, Robert Blackshear, Jr.; her first born, Robert Artez Blackshear; oldest daughter, Demetrice Aldrena Blackshear; and youngest daughter, Lashawn Blackshear Caldwell (Kenny); oldest granddaughter, Sierra Blackshear; youngest granddaughter, Kennedi Blackshear Arocho; oldest grandson, Kenneth Dallas Caldwell; youngest grandson, Myles Artez Blackshear; step-father, Otis C. Hayward, Sr.; sister, Cheryl Bryant; aunt, Minvera Brown Platt; nephew, David Antonio Williams, Sr.; mother-in-law, Mildred Beckett (deceased) of Los Angeles, CA; sisters-in-law, Clora Dillard of Los Angeles, CA, Vernessia Blackshear Bunch of Oklahoma City, OK and Mildrena Blackshear of Los Angeles, CA; brother-in-law, Eugene Blackshear of Panama City, FL; by marriages she leaves, 3 uncles; 4 aunts, 9 nephews; 8 nieces; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and many sorrowing friends; honorary sister-in-law, Flora Edwards; honorary grandson-in-law, Breyon Huggins; special friends, Deloris Hill and Darah Dunn; and honorary goddaughter, Niecy Wilson.
