Bessie Hayward Obituary

Mrs. Bessie Rose Hayward was on born July 17th 1941 to Mayo Robinson and Esther Ann Alderman. She graduated from Lowndes High School in Valdosta Georgia. She was a Register Nurse employed by Beaches Reginal Hospital, local Nursing Homes and later worked in Private Duty Nursing.

Sister Hayward loved the Lord and served Him with all her heart. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Callahan Florida where she served on the Usher Board. She loved entertaining her family, preparing meals and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She believed and often quoted life should be lived “One Day at a Time”.

Mrs. Hayward was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alphonso Hayward, Sr.; daughters, Arleen Robinson, Becky Robinson and Lueala Robinson-Smith; sisters, Elizabeth Smith and Mae Ella Bethay; brother, Lawrence Robinson; and grandsons, James Jackson, Jr. and Terrance Calvin Taylor.

Bessie leaves to cherish her precious memories, children, April Robinson (Tyrone), James Jackson (Jeannell), Enoch Robinson, Alphonso Hayward (Alicia), Tide Hayward; and Marcus Hayward; sister, Arizonta Robinson; brothers, Calvin Robinson (Nell), James Robinson and Cornelious (Bubba) Robinson (Daisy); 25 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren; special daughters-in-law, Brenda Smith and Sylinda Cohens; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
