Welcome to the memorial page for

Daryl Clement Glee

May 26, 1974 ~ August 25, 2018 (age 44) 44 Years Old

Mr. Daryl Clement Glee was born on May 26, 1974 to Ms. Willie Jean Glee Maryland and Mr. Clement Pete Gibbs. He attended the local schools in the Jacksonville area and worked in construction/electrical fields, most recently at Ace Electrical. His passions were music, fishing and family. The love he had for everyone he encountered was surreal, and everyone who ever met him, loved him. Most of all his niece, Takoya McKenzy and cousin, Jermaine “Spanky” Glee.

Daryl was truly gifted with his hands. If it was broken, he would fix it even if it took him all day and night. I think we’ve all said to him, “You ain’t finished yet” and he’d always smile and give the same response, “Huh man”. He never let anything get the best of him and rarely did you see him upset. Whenever we needed his assistance, he was ready and willing at no charge. If you insisted on paying him, a honey bun and a Pepsi would suffice. Each of us probably has some remembrance of his kindness and generosity not only in our hearts but also in our cars, home, project or yards. Although we all think he is gone far too soon, these are the memories that we are grateful to hold dear to our hearts.

After a short well fought battle with cancer, on Saturday, August 25, 2018 Daryl slept peacefully away into the arms of our heavenly Father surrounded by his loving family.

He leaves to mourn his extended “Pinetta” family, the love of his life, Ms. Latoya Pryor and their cherished family, Kiziah, Makyla, Gary and Gavin.

He also leaves to cherish his loving memories, his mother, Willie Jean Maryland; father, Clement Gibbs (Debra); sisters, Katrina Morrell (Ted) and Katrice Strong (Latroy); brothers, Dexter Scott (LaMeta), Gregory Gibbs and Clement Gibbs, Jr.; as well as Tavis, Sierra and Kayla (whom he loved as his own); and a host of nieces, nephews and a huge family that loved him unconditionally.

Sarah L. Carter's Funeral Home Northside is serving the family.
