Deacon Charlie David Wilcher son of the late Robert and Lorene Wilcher. He was born on July 23, 1949 in Johnson County Bartow, Georgia. He grew up in a Christian home and attended the public schools in Louisville, Georgia. He graduated at Jefferson High School.
Brother Charlie David Wilcher moved to Brooklyn, New York where his Christian experience continued to grow under the leadership of Reverend A. Moore at Fulton Street Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York. He also song with the original Spirit Travels in Georgia and song in the Church Choir in Manhattan, New York.
On December 5, 2017 the Lord saw fit to take our beloved brother Charlie home to rest. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lorene Wilcher; brother, Willie Gene Wilcher; sisters, Mattie Lucille Pringle and Saddie W. Winn; and brother, Theodore Wilcher.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, siblings, Eugene Wilcher, Robert Wilcher, Jr., Fate Roger Wilcher (Paula), Rufus Wilcher, Irene W. Lewis (Jacob), Mattie (John) Hill and Ruthie (Bishop Allen) Cody; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and many sorrowing friends.
