Derian O'shawn McGoogin

Derian O’Shawn McGoogin was born on October 9, 1995, to Danielle Campbell and Shawn McGoogin.  He passed away on October 13, 2018. Derian attended public schools in Jacksonville, FL. and was a member of Fellowship Church of God In Christ, where he served in the music ministry as a drummer and was in charge of building maintenance. Derian was better known as “Buddy” to his family and friends, a nickname given to him by his beloved cousin Tommy Cobb Jr.  He enjoyed music, art, football, and spending time with friends and his younger siblings.

“Buddy” is survived by his parents, Danielle Campbell-King (Angelo) and Shawn F. McGoogin (Tania); grandparents, Supt. Daniel Campbell Sr., Maegoldie Campbell, and Thelma Ewing; a stepfather Arden Luster II; brothers, Derias McGoogin, Daviel Luster, Arden Luster III, Armonde Luster, Jevon McGoogin, and Oshay Carter; sisters, Ariell Luster, Alaeja Luster, and Shalae McGoogin; a host of cousins, including special cousins Tommy Cobb Jr and David Campbell Jr.; and many sorrowing aunts, uncles, and friends.
