Ms. Doretha Young was born on May 29, 1945 in Canton, Mississippi to the late Raymond and Ora Lee Rogers. She transitioned from earthly life, to eternal life on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. She was surrounded by her loving family. Doretha received her education at Rogers High School in Canton, Mississippi. She was married to Henry Young for 13 years and from that union one son was born. Soon after that they relocated to Jacksonville, Florida.

Ms. Doretha was employed at Ponte Vedra Inn Club, where she was a dedicated employee for 43 years; her job was her second family. She truly loved working there, her co-workers was her family. Ms. Doretha has a smile that lit up the room, her appearance was always stylish. Her sparkling fun, loving and outspoken personality, readiness to listen and wiliness to help other earned her the nickname “Ms. Doe”. She was greatly loved by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ora Lee Rogers; and brother, Ernest Rogers.

She leaves to cherish her memories, brother, Lonnie Rogers (Heloise) of Canton, Mississippi; sisters, Barbara Ann Rogers, Emma Jean Rosa of Orlando, Florida and Annette Prohet of Canton, Mississippi; son, Willie Rogers (Terry) of Canton, Mississippi; daughter, Sandra Rogers (Cordrey) of Jacksonville, Florida; daughter, Annette Robins (Eddie) of Jacksonville, Florida; son, Junivar Robbins of Jacksonville, Florida; son, Anthony Rogers of Jacksonville, Florida; son, Lee Patrick Young of Jacksonville, Florida; bonus daughter, Leslie Brooks (Henry); 15 grandchildren, Douglas Robbins, Jatavius Robbins, Gavin Q. Goss, Aazarhea Rogers, Aakira Rogers, Jaquan Chevez Rogers, Sanai King, Amon Rogers, Kameron Rogers, Andrew Rogers, Olivia Rose Fulmer-Young, Patrick L. Bailey, Anjel B. Young, William Rogers and Chasisty Rogers; special uncles, Johnny D. Taylor and Leroy Taylor; niece, Lashawna Hodges; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, great grandchildren and friends.
