Edward Jerome McTizic was born on September 15, 1961 to Buford and Lurlie McTizic in Trenton, Tennessee. He attended Peabody High School and graduated in 1979. He joined the United States Navy in 1978 and went off to basic training in San Diego, California right after graduation.
Edward served in the US Navy as an Airman for four years and left with an Honorable Discharge. He spent many years as a long-distance truck driver and loved manual labor. He was affiliated with the Church of God in Christ and preached many messages that touched the hearts and minds of many.
Edward went on to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 10, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buford and Lurlie McTizic; his siblings, Joe L. Words, Sr., Curtis, Lizzy Mae, Mary Lee, Martha, Herald, John Buford and Charles Ray McTizic.
Edward leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Monique Johnson and Eliesha McTizic; grandson, Eden Mack; siblings, Armarie Bates (Clabon), Irma Sims, Shirley Pugh (Joe), Samuel McTizic, Thomas McTizic, Wesley McTizic (Maxine), James McTizic (Betty), Roy McTizic, Berl Sain, Dorothy Robinson and Lonamae McTizic; faithful and dedicated friends, Voncretia (Von) Daniels, Larry Harris and Robert Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
