Ervin F. Demps, Jr.

Ervin “Jimmy” Demps was born on November 22, 1943 to the late Ervin Demps, Sr. and Ruth Demps in Jacksonville, FL.

Ervin was educated in the Duval County School system at Douglas Anderson Elementary and High School on San Diego Road. Thereafter, Ervin was employed at Jerry Hamm Chevrolet on Philips Highway for several years; later entering the construction industry until his retirement.

Ervin was united in Holy Matrimony to Mary Ann Hutchinson on November 20, 1970 and to this union two sons, Joseph and Lindell were born.

Ervin was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Ruth Demps, Sr.; sister, Rogenia “Tiny” Adams; and brothers, Thomas Demps, Leon Demps and George Demps.

He leaves to cherish his life, Mary Ann Demps, his wife of 48 years; sons, Joseph Demps (Annette) and Lindell Demps; two brothers-in-law, Vernon Gibson and Johnnie Bryant; three grandchildren, Ebony Hawkins (Romeral), Joseph, Jr., and Chelsie; four great grands; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and special friends.
