Mrs. Winifred family was a big part of the south side i attended her mother kindergarten back in the day. I am leaving you a word of comfort in your time of sorrow ~Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears form all faces."

“STEADFAST LOVE”
A Tribute to My Friend, Winifred Ragland Baker
Our friendship grew, as we were employed at Jacksonville Beach Elementary School, #144. You endeared yourself to my daughter, Avis, who affectionately called you Aunt Wendy. You later became the confidante to my granddaughter, Alyssa, when she needed good advice and a listening ear. My many friends and club members enjoyed the delicious dishes you prepared for special events we shared.
You were mother, wife, and friend,
Sister, daughter, grandma,
Artist, adventurer, dreamer.
Since love is forever,
You'll always be here,
Holding our hands
As we journey onward
Along life's winding roads,
Carrying forward your gifts
As lamps to light our way:
Your compassion and humor,
Your luminous creativity,
The light in your eyes,
Your caring touch,
Your musical laugh,
And the sterling example
Of your steadfast love.
Winifred Ragland Baker, while you were alive, you filled multiple roles in the lives of your family and friends. You brought joy through the sharing of your talents. The love and gifts you shared have ripple effects that continue to spread outward and enrich people's lives even though you have transitioned from life to life eternal.
In God’s Care,
Your Longtime Friend,
Peggy Rice Johnson and Family

Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you each of you with the loss of your loved one. Mrs. Baker was a very wise and respected woman that used her wisdom to led many (including myself) to the thresholds of their minds. I am truly grateful to have met someone with such compassion and dedication in leading and developing others to the next level. Mrs. Baker will be missed dearly and please know that our family is praying for your peace and comfort during this difficult time.
