Forest Bowman, Jr. Obituary

His Story

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15

In Loving Memory of Brother Forest Bowman, Jr.

Forest was affectionately loved and called “Pop” by many of his family and friends.  He was born on February 7, 1954 to the late Forest, Sr. and Hazel in Quincy, Florida.  Forest was educated in the schools of Gadsden County where he excelled and found a knack for numbers.

After high school, Forest attended and graduated from Florida A & M University in 1976 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.  Pop loved knowledge and learning so, he continued his studies in Business at the University of North Florida.

After college and working in South Florida for some time, Forest enlisted and served in the United States Navy for five years.  He was honorably discharged and served in the Navy Reserves an additional two years.

Forest was currently employed at Wells Fargo as a Personal Banker however; he spent many years of his career in Mortgage Banking.

Forest loved God and he took his servitude seriously.  He served faithfully as an Adult Teacher at Julington Baptist Church.  He loved his Julington church family.

Forest leaves to cherish his memories, three brothers, Tyrone Bowman, Sr. (Carol), Timothy Bowman and Tony Bowman; five sisters, Gloria Bowman Barry (Ben), Deborah Bowman Lightfoot, Josephine Bowman Bryant (Jonathan), Vonda Bowman Harmon and Renita Bowman.

To all his nieces and nephews, Uncle Pop loved you! Relatives and friends, he adored your friendship.
