Henry Mae Stewart was born in Crescent City, Florida on May 11, 1952 to the late Henry Charles and Lucy Bell Sampson. She was the second born of six children to her parents. She was the mother of four children.
Henry Mae parents settled in Atlantic Beach, Florida when she was very young. She was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church at an early age and regularly attended Shiloh Baptist Church until her passing. Henry Mae was worked as a house keeper-homemaker. She loved having fun, telling jokes on any one; her favorite phrase was “I get retarded on you”.
On Wednesday, March 13, 2019 God called Henry Mae Stewart home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Stewart, Sr.; and parents, Henry Charles and Lucy Bell Sampson.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Olga Cue, Roosevelt Taylor, Jr., Seddrick Taylor (Sarolta), Enikea Taylor (Emile), James Stewart, Jr. and Constance Coleman (Oscar); siblings, Delories Jackson (James), Shirley McCray, Willie Sampson and Janett Sampson; grandchildren she raised, Lawanda Peterson and Miracle Gennie Mae Bryant; 17 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
