James Edwin Reese, IV

James Edwin Reese, IV was born in Jacksonville, Florida on August 16, 1997 to the proud parents Jill Powell and James Reese. He was educated in various Duval County Public Schools. Jay, to al that knew him was a loving and humorous young man, he loved spending time with his family while joking, laughing and ranking with one another, he was the family jokester indeed.

Jay was introduced to Christ at an early age and grew up in Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church-Southside and later in life attended In His Presence Worship Center. One of his favorite songs was “I Give Myself Away”. Jay had the voice of an Angel.

On Monday, September 10, 2018 God saw fit to call Jay home to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Stacy Powell, Jr.

Jay leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Jill Daniels; father, James Reese, III; step-father, John Daniels, Jr.; brother, Mareyon Tisby; sisters, Tiera Powell, Jimari Briggs and Kyara Perkin; grandmothers, Jereldene Powell and Ruby Davis; grandfather, Lawrence Goodman, Sr.; uncles, Todd Powell, Bernard Ford, David Goodman and Lawrence Goodman, Jr.; aunt, Tatisha Jones; first cousins, Danielle Foster, Joshua Powell, Takhia Powell, Neveah Powell, Tyquan Jones and Journey Goodman; godmother, Carretta Stewart;  devoted girlfriend, Dominique Barbero; and a host of other grand aunts, grand uncles, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
