Joyce Wanda Davis was born on February 16, 1953 to James and Theresa Davis in Jacksonville, Florida. 1991, she married Virgil Brown.
Joyce accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She graduated from Paxon High School and retired from Cedar Hills Nursing Home after 25 years of dedicated service as a certified nursing assistant.
Joyce departed this life on Tuesday, October 15, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Theresa Davis; brothers, Donald Davis and Reginald Davis; sister, Jeannette Martin; son, Darrick Davis; and bonus son, Tarrance Fulton, Sr.
Joyce leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband, Virgil Brown; two daughters, Juantez Jackson (Quinnton) and Pamela Hutchinson; bonus daughters, Tyrese Fulton and Vanessa Duvall (Albert); eight grandchildren, Darrick Robinson, Shavonda Robinson, Tymeka Robinson, Aniqua Smith, Tarrance Fulton, Jr., Kiaree Woolbright, Quinnton Jackson, II and Jaquez Jackson; bonus granddaughters, Olivia Smalls and Ashley Duvall; three great grands, RayVon Blair, Donavan Blair and Zy’hir Austin; brothers, James Davis, Jr. (Joyce) and Ronald Davis; brother-in-law, Perry Pickett (Josephine); sisters-in-law, Alberta Ward, Joyce Williams (Maurice) and Janet Pickett; uncle, James Hagan (Lorraine) of Atlanta, Georgia; aunts, Annette Marcus, Lena Allen (Dave) and Louise Nicks of Cocoa, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; special thanks to her caregivers, Lena, Jackie, Alfreda, Ericka, Delissa, Mary, Asia, Louise, Kelli; the Golden Girls; hospice nurse, Jearldine and the caring staff of Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
