KEVIN JOHN LAVAR BLAIR, affectionately known as “PEE WEE”, resident of Jacksonville, FL, rested from his labor, at Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. KEVIN JOHN LAVAR was born in Jacksonville, FL, on June 14, 1977. He was the third child born to Eugene and Dorothy Brown Blair. Their fourth child was KEVIN’S twin, KELVIN JAMES LAMAR. They were born in a Christian home and were baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion AMEC (Southside), under the pastorate of Rev. Leroy Sneed, Sr. Their early years were spent in Sunday School and various ministries of the Youth Department. They attained their elementary, middle and senior high (Wolfson) education in various Duval County public schools. KEVIN’S employment life was at Brooks Rehabilitation Center for several years. He worked with Morrison Food Services and Therapeutic Equipment Inventory Control. When not at work, Kevin was very actively involved and dedicated to his Godchildren. He had a special bond with his “dog best friend,” Bouncy. The love, loyalty and companionship with Bouncy was a source of joy and happiness for him. KEVIN BLAIR was the guardian angel of his family, the king, the tender hand of love for his entire family and all who knew him. Anyone who spent any time around him knew of his love and adoration for his family. He had an overwhelming, loving personality. His warm and loving spirit was contagious and he freely spread it wherever he went. KEVIN’S smile was strong and warm. Wherever he went, he brought a spirit of happiness and cheer to all around. The Blair/Brown earthly family chain was broken on October 22, 2018. At the age of 41, God called KEVIN JOHN LAVAR BLAIR’S name. The Blair/Brown heavenly family chain has linked again. He was preceded in death by father, Eugene Blair, Sr.; brother, Eugene Blair, Jr.; sister, Dorothy Blair; fraternal grandparents, Riley and Rosa Blair Nash and maternal grandparents, Asa and Mamie Williams Brown. KEVIN JOHN LAVAR BLAIR is going to be missed by many who will cherish his memory, but most of all he will be missed by his loving mother; Dorothy Brown Blair; sisters, Debra Blair and Sylvia Blair, brothers, Kelvin Blair and Christopher Blair; nieces/Godchildren, Samiah and Samori Williams; uncle, Harry Brown (Vera); aunts, Aretha Brown, Nadine Brown, Sylvia Mathis, Delouris Brown, Louise Edwards, San Diego, CA, and Mary Thompson, Beggs, OK; Godchildren, Keandre and Kash Brandon; special friends, Remy Brandon and Doris; “dog” child, Bouncy Blair and a host of other supporting family and sorrowing friends.
