King David Tolen, 81, born in Jacksonville, Florida, transitioned from this life on December 18, 2019. He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Spigner; sister, Gladdie Woodard; brothers, Alvin Spigner, and Charlie Mitchell; and son, King David Tolen, II.
King David served in the United States Airforce and worked as a longshoreman for over 20-years. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, LaToyia Holley (Atlanta); sister, Linda J. Bryant (Billie); granddaughters, Ladasha Tolen and Tatum Keris Williams; grandson King David Tolen, III; nephew, Robert Tolen (Betty), Billie Bryant (Melinda), Christopher Tolen and Paul Bryant; niece, Gladdie Hunter (Sidney); and good friend, Virginia Johnson.
King David loved music and wrote the Gilbert High School song "Our Alma Mater". King David will be truly missed by his family and friends.
