Laurine Bernadise Brown Williams was born May 11, 1929 to the late Eddie Brown and Genevieve Jenkins in Fernandina Beach, Florida. She attended the local schools and graduated from Peck School in the 1946.
Laurine was employed at Humphrey Memorial Hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She later took a supervisor position at Amelia Island Plantation in Housekeeping. She then finally was employed at Baptist Nassau Hospital where she retired in 1992. She was a faithful member of First Missionary Baptist Church, where she was the pianist for Choir #1 & #2. Her hobby known by all was planting flowers and working her yard.
Laurine Bernadise Brown slept away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Monday, August 19, 2019. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Lewis T. Williams, Sr.; brothers, Avin Divine Brown, Anthony Brown, Vander Brown and Alton Brown; and goddaughter, Georgia Johnson.
Laurine leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Lewis Williams, Jr., Alvin Williams, Sr. (Lucille), Dollie Williams Allen (John), Darryl Williams, Adrian Williams, Sr. (Audrey) and Cornelius Williams (Theora); 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; goddaughter, Vanessa Mathis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and many sorrowing friends.
