Lee Frank Taylor

August 20, 1936 ~ November 16, 2018 (age 82) 82 Years Old

Brother Lee Frank Taylor was born on August 20, 1936 to the Late Francis and Mary Taylor.  He transitioned from earth to glory on Friday, November 16, 2018. Lee Frank was educated in the Nassau County School System.  After graduating, he moved to Callahan and married the love of his life, Ernestine Roberts. Lee worked for St. Regis Paper Mill, Georgia Pacific now known as PCA.  For many years he also worked part-time at Alterman Truck Lines.  He retired in 2002.

Bro. Lee was a faithful and dedicated member of Greater Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church and was appointed a Trustee under the leadership of the Late Pastor Emeritus Rev. C. J. Brown.  He also was appointed and elected as Treasurer by Pastor Charles E. Williams, Jr. in 2011 where he continued to serve as Treasurer under the leadership of Pastor Reginald R. Edwards, Sr.  Bro. Lee was a part of the church being remodeled in 1979 under the leadership of Pastor Brown.  He was a great supporter of the renovation and the dedication of the church in August 2018 under the leadership of Pastor Edwards.  He loved GMP “The Pleasant Place” and was one of The Honoree's at our Church 144th Anniversary on September 25, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his son, Pastor Fredrick L. Taylor, Sr.

Brother Lee Frank leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving wife of 62 years, Ernestine Taylor; children, Shelia (Jackey) Mason and Gina Coleman of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Fredrick Leon (Alina) Taylor, II of Milton, FL, Jakkia (Douglas) Tooley of Atlanta, GA, Pamela (Ron) Holland, Tiffany Taylor, Erica (William) Miller, Jackey (Neomi) Mason, II, Jacksonville, FL and Andrew Devin Coleman, U.S. Navy; 12 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Apostle Robin Taylor of Jacksonville, FL; sisters-in-law, Maybelle McGriff, Alice Roberts, Callahan, FL and Eloise Jones, Jacksonville; brother-in-law, Donald (Jonnie) Roberts of Kingsferry, FL; godson, Troy (Kyanne) Way; and a host of nieces, nephews and others relatives and friends.
