Michael Stephen Young

A highly talented keyboard player, Michael Stephen Young played life’s final coda, passing away on February 8, 2018. Mike and Tangee performed their pop and soul music all around the globe, sharing a sense of fun that got people dancing and celebrating.

Mike made his very first introduction here on December 17, 1958 in Lakeland, Florida, born to Edwin and Lucille Young. The family moved to Jacksonville and Mike graduated from Wolfson High School. His passion for keyboard led him to play in the Kudu Band and that’s how he met Tangee 38 years ago. They have been married for 28 years. Along with his love of beautiful Tangee, Mike had a strong love for his wonderful family.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Lucille Young; and sister, Pamela Gratz Young.

Michael is survived by his wife, Tangee Renee; mother-in-law, Evelyn Woods; his brothers, Edwin Young, Jr. and David Scott Young; his sisters-in-law, Chandra Young, Michelle Dicks and Antonette James; his nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Nicholas, Alex, Shateka, Maurice, Mikeria, Xavier, Kenton, Daniel and Miracle; aunts, Madia and Gloria; Michael also leaves behind his good friends, Bruce, Angel, Allana, John and Joyce.

Michael may be gone, but the melodious memories of his full, rich life go on.
