Minister James L. Buckman

Minister James L. Buckman was born on March 15, 1939 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Lawrence Buckman, Sr. and Pansy Buckman. He attended the local schools of Duval County. James was a master carpenter and loved to sing and play the piano.

James slept away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, April 7, 2018 to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kaysenura Berring; and brothers, Lawrence Buckman, II, Howard Buckman, Elijah Buckman, Richard Buckman and Randolph Buckman.

Minister James leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Gail Buckman Hunter, Shanika Buckman, Eric Buckman, Sr. (Rhonda), Toney Richardson (Regina) of Atlanta, GA, Marolotta Douglas of Milledgeville, GA, Crystal Buckman and James Buckman, Jr. of Miami, FL; honorary son, Gary Smith, Jr.; sister, Elizabeth Barnes; brothers, Alvin Buckman, Sr. (Anndrenia), Oscar Buckman of Jacksonville, FL and Herman Buckman of Washington, DC; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
