Minnie Taylor Obituary

Ms. Minnie Lee Smith Taylor was on born April 23, 1935 in Midway, Alabama (Bullock County) to the late Alto Lee Smith and Luegenia Smith. At an early age Sister Taylor accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She later moved to Jacksonville, Florida in February 1942 and fellowshipped with Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Minnie was educated in the Duval County School System and was a retired Domestic Worker. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Roosevelt Wiley.

Minnie was preceded in death by her sisters, Callie Mae Smith and Iola Cobb; three brothers, Alto Lee Smith, Jerry Smith and Theodore Smith; and two great grandchildren, Lily and Miangel.

Minnie leaves to cherish her fond memories, her devoted children, George Wiley (Robin), Robert Wiley (Nikki), Anthony Wiley (Romaine) and Audrey Rose (Thomas); devoted sisters, Gussie Smith, Johnnie Lue Telfair, Harriett Starke, Fannie Robinson (Russell) and Annie Robinson; brothers, Charlie Smith (Carolyn), Willie Smith and James Smith (Angela); sister-in-law, Jewel Smith; twelve grandchildren, Douglas, Lonnie (Shonita), Lakaisha, Gentoria, Sharonda, Shermont, Temario, Shadarian, Janay, Tequance, Leroya and Robashley; thirty-one great grandchildren; special caregiver, Shadarian Wiley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many sorrowing friends.
