Raymond Pierce, Jr. Obituary

Raymond Eugene Pierce, Jr. affectionately known as “Genie” was born on September 28, 1957 to the late Lauretta Pierce and the late Raymond Pierce, Sr. in Neptune, New Jersey. He attended the local schools of New Jersey graduating from Neptune High School class of 1976.

Genie married the love of his life, Daphne Hill and they later moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1993. He worked as a trucking sanitation company for many of years until he got sick in 2002. He was born Seventh Day Adventist and regularly attended Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Genie departed this life peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2019 surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lauretta Pierce (November 6, 2001); father, Raymond Pierce, Sr. (August 1, 1999); sister, Pamela Pierce (August 28, 1996); and sister-in-law, Antonia Allen (December 18, 2011).

Genie leaves to mourn his passing, but to cherish his life and legacy, his wife, Daphne Pierce; children, Walika Hill and Lakitah Pierce; grandchildren, Donique Williams, Ja’Niyah Bentley, Joshua Bentley, Jr. and Jai’yah Harper; in-laws, Athena Allen, Maragret Mathis, Corrie Allen, Kevin Allen and Jermone Hill; special relatives, De’Ana Pierce, Kevin “Sha” Allen, Donald Miller, Edith Griffin, Raheem “Ishine” Allen and Teresa Allen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
