Regina Elaine Sheppard was born on October 4, 1951 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Rev. Willie A. and Marjorie Sheppard. She graduated from Stanton Vocational High School in 1969.
Regina at an early age joined and was baptized at Bethany Baptist Church under the leadership of Revered E. L. Wilcox. Later she moved her membership to First New Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Sampson where she continued to serve actively in many capacities of the church. Lastly, she joined Truth for Living Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Leonard Love continuing faithful worship earning; Prison Fellowship Diploma, Truth Bible College (Evangelistic/Outreach Training), and certificate of License Minister. She served as mother of the church, host minister, and intercessory prayer leader.
Regina has a slang to everyone “God Got Me”! Her way of letting everyone know that was “alright”. Regina was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Willie A. Sheppard; brother, Rev. Eddie Lee Sheppard; nephews, Joseph Dunham and Antonio Keys; sisters-in-law, Winifred Sheppard and Rosa Sheppard.
Regina leaves to mourn her passing, her devoted son, Darrell W. Sheppard; grandchildren, Damond Sheppard and Harley Sheppard; devoted mother, Marjorie Sheppard; devoted siblings, Willie C. Sheppard, Cheryl Dunham, Gwendolyn Smith (Danny), Felicia Dunbar (Vederick) and Darlene Sheppard; nieces, TeNesha, Sakeema, Danielle, Jazzy, Crystal, Andre’Na, Tina, Shani and Amarise; nephews, Andre’, Wiley, Paul, Terrance, Aaron, Eddie Jr. and Michael; and a host of many more great nieces, and nephews; devoted cousin, Angela Ashley; devoted godsister, Nora Martin; devoted neighbor and friend, Claudia Davis; aunts, Louise Godbold, Mattie Thelma Mean and Gloria Jackson of Chicago, IL, Annie Ruth Sheppard of Jacksonville, FL and Nettie Bell Sheppard of Shellman, GA; many other sorrowing family, cousins and friends among them, Debra Dempsey; devoted friends, Paula Jenkins, Vernell Gibbs, Sharon Robinson, Reggie and Gloria Sheppard Hart.
