Welcome to the memorial page for

Stacey Maria Graham

May 14, 1967 ~ January 7, 2018 (age 50) 50 Years Old

Stacey Maria Graham was a preschool teacher at Primrose School of Julington Creek in Jacksonville, Florida for nearly twelve years and she worked at Child’s World Early Learning Center as well as Chappell Schools in a similar position. In her career, Stacey flourished as a teacher of excellence that demanded a strong commitment for learning from her young students. The students loved her but they knew that they must behave for Ms. Graham or there would be swift but compassionate consequences. In recent years, Stacey decided to attend culinary arts school to become a chef. Stacey’s “culinary calling” summoned her to prepare many delectable dishes such as black eye peas, baked eggplant with parmesan cheese and fruit-inspired smoothies. With her creativity and commitment, she devoted her life to succeed in education and in culinary arts.

Truly, Stacey was a godly woman who loved the Lord and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior very early in her life. Since 2003, Stacey was a faithful member of New Life Christian Fellowship in Jacksonville, Florida.

Stacey was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Coronia Juanita Lewis and Nehemiah Brady on May 14, 1967. She attended Mount Moriah Preschool, Pine Forest Elementary School, and Landon Junior High School. She graduated from high school in 1985 at the home of the mighty wolfpack, Wolfson Senior High School. In order to fulfill her life-long dream to become an educator, Stacey attended Florida Junior College and majored in Childhood Psychology.

As a young child and teenager, Stacey loved being with family as well as friends. Growing up, Stacey competed in games of Hop-Scotch and Mother May I. During these years, Stacey also became an avid reader on a variety of subjects, such as politics and childhood educational books. Although Stacey enjoyed reading, she was an enthusiast for movies and sitcoms that reflected her love of laughter such as Mary Poppins and reruns of I Love Lucy. Stacey was not going to be left out of today’s technological entertainment as she continued to show her zest for life when she played the game of Candy Crush and was always, always a winner!

On January, 7, 2018, Stacey completed her heavenly transition as she slept away to become one of God’s angels to reunite with her cherished mother, Coronia Juanita Lewis who passed away in 2011. She was admired and loved by all who knew her. Never to be forgotten is Stacey’s infectious smile and humble spirit. Stacey will be forever remembered by her sisters, Phaedra Graham and Monique Graham; her niece, Nadia Graham; her aunts, Wanis Winfrey and Euradell King; devoted cousins, Elisha Winfrey, Christopher Winfrey, Christopher Winfrey, Jr., Nicara Winfrey and Maya Winfrey; as well as many other devoted cousins in Fernandina Beach, Florida, Seattle, Washington, Canada and Japan; her true friend, Patrice Jenkins; the Wright Family, Lula Price Brown and the cat in her life “Fluffy McMuffin.”
