Willie C. Bartley

Willie C. Bartley was born April 2, 1947 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late James Bartley and Edith Dawson. He was educated in the Duval County Public Schools graduating from Stanton High School.

Willie was employed with various companies over the years as a dedicated and hard worker, including: Hope Haven Children’s Hospital and the Radisson Hotel until his health declined.

God saw fit to send His angel of death into the room of Willie C. Bartley with its love and tender care to relieve him from the troubles of this world. On Friday Morning, February 2, 2018, Willie C. Bartley entered into his eternal rest to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edith Dawson and James Bartley; sister, Barbara Jones; and brother, James Bartley.

Willie leaves to mourn his passing, but to cherish his memories, loving and devoted sister, Gloria Bartley (James Boyd); brother, Charles Bartley; nephews, Jimmy Bartley, Kenneth "Marvin" Bartley, and Michael Boyd; first cousins, Maxine Harp, Curtis Abdullah, Everlyee Merritt (Donald), Mary Edith Wright and Clarice Bartley; aunt, Eula Mae Coleman; best friend, Polee Jones (Lucy); goddaughter, Melanie Hill; and a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
