Willie Nelson Obituary

Willie James Nelson (aka Luke Allen) was born on November 6, 1944 to Dan and Essie Mae Allen in St. George, Georgia. He attended school in Folkston, Georgia. He was employed as a Turpentine Runner, a Tire Repairman for Goodyear and All-Weather Tire Companies, and a Telephone Line Contractor for Kings Bay Naval Station. He enjoyed fishing, repairing cars, storytelling, helping others and was an avid wrestling fan.

Willie James was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 12, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Essie Mae Allen; wives, Naomi Dixon, Adeline Benita Richardson and Alfreda Fleming; brothers, Dan Allen, Jake Allen, Willie Allen and Isaih Allen; sisters, Viola Allen Roberts and Mary Alice Roberts.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories, his significant other and companion, Doris Hardy; children, Ericka Nelson, Beatrice Haynes Waters (Ralph), Richard Daniel Nelson, LaTrell Jones (Jemar), Anthony Haynes, Sr. and Cynthia Cull Goodman; a host of grandchildren; one great grand; siblings, Gracie Mae Larry and Johnny Allen; in-laws, Sarah Allen and Steve Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
