Antwanne Terrell Shanks, Sr.

Antwanne Terrell Shanks, Sr. was born August 17, 1980 to Cynthia Ford Shanks and Keith Tyrone Shanks in Phoenix, Alabama. Antwanne is a 2002 graduate of Paxon High School in Jacksonville, Florida.

Antwanne met and married Jimiyah Gilmore, to whom they both share the same birthdate. He worked in home repairment as a painter with his father. While growing up he attended the Harvest Dome. His hobbies included watching sports. Antwanne had a fashionable appearance. He loved going to the beach, listening to music, and spending quality time with his wife, children, and extended family. He also found interest in viewing the food network channels.

Antwanne's demise was on Sunday, September 15, 2019. He was preceded in death by his brother, Keith Tyrone Shanks, Jr.; maternal grandmother, Bernice Ford; maternal grandfather, Elijah Ford; paternal grandmother, Hattie Shanks; and paternal grandfather, Henry Shanks, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories, spouse, Jimiyah Shanks; children, Antwanne Shanks, Jr., Santiyanah Young, Keith Shanks III, Ja’twanne Shanks, and Ca’Siya Inmon; parents, Cynthia Ford Shanks and Keith Tyrone Shanks (Joyce); sisters, Talithia Shanks and Shameka Bost; mother-in-law, Saundra Martin Davis; father-in-law, Jimmie Gilmore (Catrecia); brothers-in-law: Jiquan Gilmore (Leyesia), Javon Gilmore, Jimmy Gilmore, Clinton Davis, Diontae Davis, Ty’Shon Gilmore, and Lionell Bost; sister-in-law, La’Torya Gilmore; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
