April Lunsford Obituary

April Yvette Lunsford, departed this world on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on April 22, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, April was a beacon of love and joy to all who knew her. She spent her final days in Jacksonville, Florida, where her spirit continues to shine brightly in the lives she touched.

A graduate of life's lessons, April dedicated a substantial part of her professional life to AT&T and the First Tee of Jacksonville, Florida. In these roles, she made a significant impact, nurturing young minds and fostering connections that transcended the workplace. Her colleagues and friends remember her not only for her work ethic but for her unwavering kindness and infectious laughter.

April was affiliated with the African Methodist Episcopal Church, where she found solace and community among her fellow congregants. Her faith was an integral part of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. She believed in the power of love and service, often giving of herself to help others.

Outside of her professional accomplishments, April had a passion for golf, often found on the green, enjoying the sun and the camaraderie of friends. This love for the game mirrored her approach to life: always striving for improvement, cherishing the friendships forged along the way, and celebrating every moment.

April was the cherished daughter of Theodore Roscoe Lunsford and Mary Lunsford. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Theodore, whose spirit she carried in her heart throughout her life. April is survived by her spouse, Linda Sue Branch. She also leaves behind her loving mother, Mary Lunsford; her brother, Arnold O. Jones (Deyonka) ; and sister, Terri Jones Samuels. April held a special place in her heart for Nikolai, and was adored by a host of children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless relatives and friends who are mourning her loss.

April's vibrant spirit, warm smile, and compassionate heart will be dearly missed. Her legacy of love, family, and friendship will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.

April Yvette Lunsford, you will forever be remembered as a loving wife, daughter, sister, and friend. May you rest in peace, knowing you have left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
