Arthur Boyd Holt

Arthur Boyd Holt was born on September 7th, 1942 in Winter Garden, Florida to the proud parents of Boyd & Ruby Holt. He was a faithful member of Hopewell Church formally First Baptist of Mandarin under the leadership of Dr. Gary L. Williams, Sr. for over 25 years.

Arthur attended the public schools in Winter Garden, Florida and furthered his education by graduating from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) acquiring a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts in teaching from Ohio Wesleyan University.

Arthur was employed with the Public Education Systems in Orange County and Duval County for over 35 years. He was also affiliated with several Golf Organizations including Community Golf Association.

Arthur passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021. He was preceded in death by both his parents and his son, Eric Nathan Holt.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted and loving wife, Ramona Maria Holt; son, Emius George; daughters, Almetta Hooper (Hawthorne, NJ), Natasha Holt-Ramos, (Atlanta GA) and Esilita (Essie) Roundtree (Kevin) (Gambia, Africa); 11 grandchildren, Mark Hooper, Isaiah McCall, Kevin Roundtree Jr, Ayden Roundtree, Eeryn Roundtree, Eylan Roundtree, Isaiah George, Meghan Ferguson (Keys), Aziah George and Gabriel (Gabby) Ramos; brother, Edward Holt (Clemertine); special friends, The Divine Divas & Dudes of Jacksonville; and a host of  nieces, nephews and a multitude of sorrowing relatives and friends.
