Arthur R. L. Perkins

Arthur Roger Lynn Perkins, age 64, of Jacksonville, Florida, peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

He was born on August 2, 1961, in St. Louis, Missouri. Arthur attended Torrejón High School in Spain and later continued his education at Southern Illinois University. He honorably served in the United States Army, dedicating himself to serving his country with pride, courage, and integrity. He was also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., where he formed lifelong brotherhoods and cherished friendships.

Arthur is remembered for his strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family. His life reflected honor, service, and love, leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Mae Perkins; and his sister, Patsy Perkins.

He leaves to cherish his memory his only child, Ariel Perkins (Lo Quan Cooper); his beloved granddaughter, A’Miracle Perkins; his sister, Laverne Branch (Victor); his brothers, Melvin Perkins, Alton Perkins, James Keith Lampley, Aaron Johnson, and Anthony Perkins; along with a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.
