Beatrice Wright Obituary

Beatrice G. Wright was born on May 4, 1933, to the late Zenith and Mary Jane Smith in Ludowici, Georgia. She was the first black person to work for Donald W. Tredinick, owner of Jax Liquors. Beatrice worked as the manager for 33 years. 

Beatrice was a loyal servant of the Lord and was a faithful member of Christ is the Way Community Church under the leadership of Bishop and Pastor Woods. She later transitioned her membership to the Potter’s House International Ministries where she was a faithful member from 2017 until her passing. She also served as a devoted member of the senior ministry. 

Beatrice was joined in Holy Matrimony to Sidney Wright who preceded her in death. She was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and grandchild, Tomekia Brown. 

Beatrice leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Sidney Wright (Diana), Karen Cohen (Ronald), Susan Anderson, Anglier Wright, Brenda Oliver (William), Tanglier Newell (Samuel), and Velinda Sturgis; one sister, Alice Baker of Newark, NJ; one brother-in-law, Lavern Wright (June) of Callahan, FL; three sisters-in-law, Novella King of Glennville, GA, Alma Wright of Texas, and Pat Wright of Carolina; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two loving caregivers, Eartha Bryant, Ziara Miller; Sonya Lucas who has been a great supporter and friend who helped us during our mother's illness; a neighbor who was like her son, Bobby Randolph; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and many sorrowing friends.
