Betty Rowena Lightfoot peacefully slipped away home to Heaven on May 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, just as she desired. In her final moments, her loved ones gathered around her, laid hands on her, and sang her name into Glory as God gently reached down and received His child. She departed this life peacefully and gracefully.
Born on March 15, 1940, Betty lived a life rooted in love, faith, and service. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, beloved sister and daughter, and a treasured friend to many. Her warm spirit, unwavering faith in God, and caring heart touched all who had the blessing of knowing her.
Betty’s greatest legacy is the love she poured into her family and community. She believed deeply in God’s promises and faithfully held on to His unchanging hand throughout her life. Her kindness, strength, wisdom, and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in knowing she is now resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord. Her beautiful memory will forever be cherished.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:23
