Betty Jean Morton

Betty Jean Morton completed her earthly journey peacefully during the late evening hours of Sunday, September 25, 2022. She was born to the late Lucia Jones in Gainesville, Florida on July 21, 1956. Betty was the youngest of four siblings, Sammie Jackson, Mary Jones, and Geneva Wilson. Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Lucia Jones; her son, Anthony Tyrone Burt, Jr; her sister, Mary Jones; three nephews; and one niece.

Betty was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend. She attended Duval County Public School. She was a member of New Birth Christian Assembly. Betty was a Lead Custodian and worked for the Duval County Public School System.

Betty leaves to cherish her memories, her grandson, Anthony Nathaniel Burt; her sisters, Sammie Jackson and Geneva Wilson; four nieces; five nephews; three great nieces; three great nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
