On Good Friday, April 18, 2025, Carol Ann Kingston transferred from this earthly life at her home on Townsend Road in Orange Park, Florida. Her earthly life began October 19, 1952 in Guyana, South America. She was the daughter of Vivian Eustace Kingston and Elsa Dorethea Kingston.
Carol’s educational journey began as an elementary student of Kitty Methodist School. She also attended St. Mary’s Ye Virgin Anglican School and St. Michael’s Anglican in Fort Wellington, West Coast Barbice. Then onto Cormenius Moravian, Christ Church Secondary School Middle Street Georgetown. Graduated from Christ Church then on from there went into serving the Guyana National Service for 2 years.
She then migrated to Canada where she resided for several years where there she married Gregory Edinboro and moved to the United States, residing in Brooklyn, New York. There, she worked as an Insurance Agent for many years. She moved to Washington D.C. then to Maryland where she lived and worked as an Insurance Agent for Claims Administration Corporation for several years and continued working there until the job ended. Carol was then employed by Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute as claims Insurance Agent until she retired.
Carol is preceded in death by her father, Vivian Eustace Kingston; her brother, Wilfred Kingston; and nephew, Gavin Gordon Kingston.
She is survived by her son, Hakeem Kingston; mother, Elsa; siblings, Gordon, Audrey, Sammy, Dennis, Vivian, Joan, Dale, Abby, Jeanette, Eartha, Debbie and Bernadette; in-laws, Anne Kingston and JoJo Kingston; special names, Debra and Tammy Washington; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
Carol is remembered for her strong personality, kindness, determination, loyalty, punctuality, and generosity. You can count on her for anything as long as it was within her power. She always made our Thanksgiving turkey, she wouldn’t anyone else make it. That was her specialty.
Definitely had a chic sense of style, loved her sunglasses especially. She would usually get dressed to take a picture just because. She really valued her privacy as well. Carol was beloved by everyone who knew her…She will be missed dearly.
