Catherine Whitehead, affectionately known to her family as “Cat” was born November 25, 1935 in White Springs, Florida to King Scott and Emma Scott. She was called home to the Father’s arms on Monday, October 30, 2023.
Catherine “A Humble, God Fearing, Woman Who Loved the Lord”. As a daughter, wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, and friend she was always humble, kind, and warm hearted. She enjoyed cooking a good home cooked meal for her family, specially making a Sweet Potato and Apple Pie and could sing a Hymn!!! One of her favorites she loved to sing was “Amazing Grace”. She was a member of New Hope Holiness Church of Jacksonville, Florida. Doing her faith by works, serving the people with free fried fish dinners and clothing. And always an encouraging word.
She is now with, Elder Theophilus A. Whitehead III (husband); Verdia Scott (loving daughter); King Scott(father); Emma Scott(mother); three sisters and three brothers who preceded her in death.
Catherine Whitehead leaves to cherish her memory son, William Peterson (Shena); grandsons, Melvin Scott and William Peterson, Jr.; sister-in-law, Dorothy J. Thomas; niece, Christine Jackson; godchildren, Solomon, Shandra, Alliyah, and Kohn Harper; a number of special nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends.
