Obituary

We welcome you to the homegoing celebration of a great man. Celester Parker was born to the late Rosie Lee Parker and Plummer Parker. He was the third of seventeen children.

Celester completed high school at Cherry Owen's High School in Quitman, Mississippi.

Celester was an employee at Pat Salmon and Son's where he retired in 2022 after being a loyal employee for twenty years. He was a "BIG TRUCK DRIVER", and drove until he couldn't drive anymore.

Celester Parker was called to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, May 18, 2023. He was preceded in death by wife, Romona Parker; daughter, Vanessa Parker; five sisters; and six brothers.

Celester leaves to cherish his wholesome existence to his children, Sharon Dennis, Leslie Parker, Brenda Jones, and Maracia Taylor;  his grandchildren, Jessica, Sabel, Chelsea, Sheneka, Martha, Miranda, Janay, Zahara, Solomon, Dar, David, Icell, Charlissa, Ferdinand, Aaliyah, Jarvis, Charmella, and Lamar; a host of great-grandchildren; brothers, R. L. Parker, Paul Parker (Frann) and Willy Ray Parker; sisters, Georgia Parker, and Lizzy Johnson; sisters-in-law, Carrie Parker, and Vivian Parker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and many honorable friends.
