Charlie Smith, Jr., 77, years old passed away on June 19, 2021. He was the son of the late Mr. Charlie Smith, Sr. and the late Mrs. Albertha G. Smith. He was born July 15, 1943 in South Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce M. Campbell.
Mr. Smith was a graduate of Douglas Anderson High School, and served his country in the United States Air Force. He did a tour of duty in Da Nang, Vietnam where he patrolled the military base. His passion was car racing, airplanes, and working with his flowers. He was well oved and respected in his community, as well as in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica.
His most cherished legacy will be left to his loving and devoted wife, Dottscinea Yvonne Smith; his two sons, Ronald Troy Smith of Washington, DC and Ja’mon Smith of Alexandria, LA; two daughters, Cheryl L. Bush of Alexandria, LA and Gloria Jean Dunn of Jacksonville, FL; step-son, O’Neal Burrell of Toronto, Canada; step-daughter, Delisa Burrell of Toronto, Canada; granddaughter, Alyssa Bush of Humble, TX; grandson, Alaijalon Bush of Alexandria, LA; sisters, Thelma P. Nesmith, Mary E. Perry, Barbara A. Kelley, Lula M. Gilliam (Paul Sr.), Brenda G. Creighton; brother, Jonathan Frison (Maxine) all of Jacksonville, FL; childhood friend like a brother, Johnny W. Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and caring friends.
