Christopher Leon Ireland, age 47, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2026. He was born on February 27, 1979, in Connecticut and later made Jacksonville, Florida his home after relocating in 2000, where he built a life filled with love, hard work, and unforgettable memories.
Christopher was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Kujuanna Ireland, and a proud father to his two daughters, Niya Ireland and Zharia Ireland. He was a caring and supportive bonus father to Dominique Hamilton and Koriyana Brown, whom he loved as his own. His cherished grandson, Kahari Hamilton, brought him immense pride and joy.
He was born to Gaston Ireland, Jr. and Beverly Ireland, who instilled in him the values of strength, dedication, and family. Christopher also leaves behind his beloved siblings, Gaston Ireland IV, Kayla Ireland, Shamira Ireland, and Jemele Paulin, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and many dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.
Christopher was well known for his remarkable presence both on and off the basketball court. During his time playing basketball at the University of North Florida, he demonstrated not only athletic talent but also teamwork and determination. Beyond sports, he was known for warm personality and the way he could light up any room he entered with his smile and sense of humor.
In his free time, Christopher enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors, and showing his love through cooking, especially when he was behind the grill preparing meals for family and friends. Professionally, he dedicated twenty-one years of service to North Florida Sales, where he worked as a respected Team Lead, known for his leadership, reliability, and strong work ethic.
Christopher will be remembered as a loving family man, a loyal friend, a hard worker, and someone who truly enjoyed life. His presence, laughter, and generous spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten by all who had the blessing of knowing him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
