Born on May 12, 1970, Daniel was the beloved son of Gregory and Mary Daniels. He attended Robert E. Lee High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and lasting memories.
Daniel was a well-known and respected lawn service owner in Jacksonville. Through his hard work and dedication, he built not only a successful business but also meaningful relationships throughout the community. Daniel never met a stranger. His warm spirit, generous heart, and welcoming personality made everyone feel like family.
Affectionately known as “Coach Williams,” Daniel was a mentor to many young men. He believed strongly in the power of higher education and consistently encouraged others to pursue their goals and dreams. Family-oriented and deeply devoted to those he loved, Daniel was a loyal friend, a guiding presence, and a source of strength to many.
Daniel leaves to cherish his precious memories, his devoted wife, Tami L. Williams; his father, Gregory Daniels; his mother, Mary Daniels; and his biological father, Joseph Neal. He also leaves five loving children, Pedro Barreras, Daniel S. Williams Jr., Jazmine Thomas (Marqueis), Brejuana Barreras and Chelsey Williams.
Daniel legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Elijahwon Thomas, Elyssia Thomas and Ella Barnhill. He is also survived by his brothers, Anthony Williams, Omar Neal, Yusuf Neal, and Jerry Wilson; his sisters, Angelia Brewer (Marvin), Nitisha Hampton, Aisha Neal, and Yasmeen Neal; his beloved godparents, Ralph and Ruby Smith; and a host of sorrowful nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Daniel’s love, mentorship, and legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched. His smile, wisdom, and unwavering loyalty will never be forgotten.
