DeAngelo “D” Demetrius Powers born on July 22, 1994, in Baltimore, Maryland. From a young age, DeAngelo had a determined personality. Outgoing, lovable, and full of life. He had a natural gift for humor and enjoyed making you laugh. He never met a stranger. He connected with people easily and left lasting impressions.
He began his education at The Academy for College and Career Exploration in Baltimore, Maryland. At the age of 15, he moved to Goldsboro, North Carolina, where he later graduated from Eastern Wayne High School where he was voted “most popular” a title that genuinely reflected who he was.
DeAngelo was creative and driven. He earned his degree from Full Sail University in Florida in Computer Animation and Graphic Design and became certified in Computer Programming. He had a sharp mind and a strong vision for his future. He was also a talented photographer and the proud owner of “Only Good Memories LLC”, along with many other business ventures he was planning to complete. He believed in building something meaningful and leaving his mark on the world.
He loved music, Smokey Robinson was a favorite. Anime, cartoons, martial arts, and dancing. The boy was smooth. Whatever he did, he did with passion. He was determined and focused when he set his mind to something. Beyond his talents and achievements, DeAngelo was deeply protective of his mother and sisters. His love for his family was strong, loyal, and unwavering. If we could take one thing from his life it would be, he never complained, he never cried victim, he encouraged everyone around him to keep living, to keep going to endure unto the end.
One of his greatest blessings was his beautiful daughter, Ms. Kyla, he was so proud. Forever holding him in their hearts here on earth are his loving parents, Tisa and Jerome; his father Angelo; his devoted sisters, LaTisa, Tayla, Treasure, Sarianna, and Amazen; his brothers, Angelo, Micah, Elijah, Malicah, Israel, and Jireh; his nephew, Major; his aunts, Melanie and Maria; grandmothers, Alberta and Darlene; grandfather, Nathaniel; along with many family members and friends.
His laughter, encouragement, protection, and his love for his family will never be forgotten. His Life was impactful. His presence was powerful. On February 16, 2026, DeAngelo became a citizen of the Kingdom of heaven. He’s not crying, he’s celebrating a new life with The Lord and with his favorite person, his grama Wendy. If the Lord gave them any time to cut up, I’m sure they made the best of it. No more pain, no more sorrows from this earth, he is enjoying his new body in the presence of God!
