De'Marcus was an amazing person, who had a smile that could light a room, from humble beginnings born October 15, 1983 in Jacksonville, Florida. He made the decision at a very young age to dedicate his life to serving God, a decision that he took very seriously. As he studied and grew in the knowledge of God, De'Marcus began to share with others his love and passion for the word of God. His family and friends could tell stories about how he would talk about God as often and as much as he could. This thirst for the word of God and love of people, especially his entire family, inspired him to always be a helping hand to others and being a faithful servant until he was called home on September 27, 2020.
After his love for God, De'Marcus loved to cultivate the land, working with his hands growing vegetables and herbs in an effort to maintain a healthy eating lifestyle. De'Marcus loved living in the country and spending time out in the fresh air where he would love to go on nature walks and commune with God or sit by waterfalls to reflect. His love for his family was unparallel and there was nothing that he would not do for anyone, especially his mother who he returned home to help care for the last year of his life.
Preceding him in death were very loving grandparents, Kary and Nadine Shipman; aunts, Brenda Shipman-Ransome and Linda Shipman-Hicks (Cyril); and uncle, Johnny Shipman Murphy.
He leaves to continue on a loving mother, Barbara Shipman; brother, Ronald Collins, II; a host of uncles, Eddie Shipman, Lloyd Shipman (Emma), Solomon Shipman and D'Rayfield Shipman; and a host of other relatives, loving cousins and friends.
De'Marcus is not lost from us, but rather is transitioned on to the next and best phase of his life, for he lives on with JESUS, his personal Lord and Saviour. De'Marcus fought a good fight, he kept the faith, he finished his race and then God said: Well done thy good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.
