Deacon Ernest Lott, Jr.

Deacon Ernest Lott, Jr. was born on July 2,1947 to the late Ernest Lott Sr. and Ruth Lott. He received his education from Duval County Public Schools, graduating from Northwestern High School and later went on to join the United States Army and served his country for four years.

On August 14, 1976 Ernest married the love of his life, Cheryl Kirkland and they raised four children together. He loved to read, spend time with family, and all things sports related. He attended the House Of God Church Keith Dominion, where he served as Deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Lott Sr. and Ruth Mae Lott; sister, Donna Lott-Ladson; brothers, Anthony Lott, Sr., and Ronald Lott; grandmother, Mary Lewis; and mother-in-law, Gretchen Brown.

Ernest leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife of 46 years, Elder Cheryl Lott; one son, Alphonso Coleman (Latoria); daughters, Dawn Whatley (Willie), Karen Coleman, and Coretta Pantin (Alric); brothers, Jeffrey Lott (Barbara), Larry Lott (Avis), Dwayne Lott (Renette), Gregory Lott (Arlicia) and Reginald Lott (Jennifer); sisters, Linda Lott, Sharon Oyerinde, Rosalyn Lott, and Angela Lott; grandchildren, Brittany Bah (Omar), Jordyn Coleman, Taylor Cambell,  Leonora Jenkins, and Zechariah Pantin; great-grandchildren, Ty’King, Londyn, Nova, and Tivionne. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special relatives, cherishing church family, and friends including a devoted friend, Deacon Theophilus Dorsey.
