Dian Estella Rowan passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023. Dian was born on August 30, 1946 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was one of three children. She attended Oklahoma State University. Dian moved to Memphis, Tennessee where she had her only child.
Dian jointed Mt. Zion Baptist Church at the age of 12. She served there for over 50 years. She later joined Liberty Hill Baptist Church and was a member until she moved to Florida in 2016 where she became a member of Hopewell Church under the leadership of Dr. Gary L. Williams, Sr.,
Dian was in the radio industry for over 40 years. She held the position of Assistant to the President of a Sport Entertainment Radio Station. She was also the HR Manger and an on-air personality.
Her hobbies included: gardening which she mastered over 40 years. Dian was a member of the North Florida Lily Society, and the National Lily Society. She was also the VP of The Ribault Garden Club and Magnolia Circle. She enjoyed cooking, bird watching and photography.
Dian was preceded in death by her mother, Alitrice Rowan; father, Grover Rowan; and sister, Helen Mumphrey. She is survived by her son, James Isbell (Kenyada); grandson, Justin Isbell; granddaughter, Jaida James (Harlee); great grandson, Brayden Isbell; brother, Grover Rowan (Tammy); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
