Doris Jackson Harold was born on November 18, 1945 to the late Leroy and Velma Jackson. After the passing of Leroy Jackson, her mother married Willie C. Davis, who raised her from the age of 10. She graduated from Matthew Gilbert High School and went on to 2 years of business school.
Later on, she worked in data processing at Independent Life Insurance for decades until the business relocated out of the Jacksonville, Florida area. She then gained employment at Mayo Clinic until retirement. After retiring, she worked in the foster grandparents’ program in order to work with kids, and continue to make a difference in her community.
Doris was married to Eddie Harold for over 30 years.
Doris made her eternal transition on Saturday, January 8, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Harold; mother, Velma Jackson; father, Leroy Jackson; and stepfather, Willie C. Davis.
Doris leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter, Charisse Jones Hunter; son-in-law, James Hunter, Jr.; Rosalyn Lewis and husband Toney, Cheryl Ross, Michael (Bubba) Harold; sisters-in-law, Elder Buena Vista Harold, and Frances Harold; brother-in-law, Nathaniel Harold; grandchildren, Kayla Hunter, Kiersten Hunter, and Kristopher Hunter; great grandchildren, Kristopher Hunter, Jr., Kaleb Hunter and Kory Hunter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many sorrowing friends.
