Dorothy G. Cobb

Dorothy G. Cobb was born on August 8, 1936 in Yatesville, North Carolina to the late Roosevelt Mackey and Violet Cutler. She was raised in Yatesville and attended Buford County High School.

At the age of 18 she relocated to New York City, where she shortly met and fell in love with her lifelong husband, Prince “Dewey” Cobb which preceded her in death.

Dorothy was employed by Presbyterian Hospital for over 30 years where she retired and moved to Jacksonville, Florida. Dorothy joined the St. Nicholas Bethel Baptist Church and was a faithful and active member on District #1 and served on the Hospitality Committee.

Dorothy G. Cobb, 84 transitioned Sunday, April 11, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Roosevelt Mackey and Violet Cutler; and her husband, Prince Cobb. She leaves to cherish her stepson, Prince Partridge; brother, Thomas E. Bailey; cousin, M. Maxine Jones; nephew, James Cutler; nephew/son, Henry Moore; sister-in-law, Blanche C. Jones; brother-in-law, Sammie L Cobb; a host of grands, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
