Dr. Ramona Parker Obituary

Dr. Ramona Coleman Parker was born on September 9, 1942 to Joseph Boyd and Thelma Riley in Richmond, Virginia. She attended the local schools graduating from Carver High School. She furthered her education at FCJ receiving her Registered Nurse Degree. She also obtained her Doctorate Degree from Jacksonville Theological Seminary in Christian Psychology. She also received her cosmetology license.

Ramona was employed with the Health Care System in Jacksonville. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Celester Parker. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and shopping.

Ramona Coleman Parker went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 18, 2021. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vanessa Parker; grandchildren, Wayne “Alan” Hill, Jr. and Hailey Nichole Duren; mother, Thelma Riley; and brother, Jerry Coleman.

Ramona leaves to cherish her fond memories, her husband, Celester Parker; children, Carroll L. Bower, Jr. (Brittany), Cherie M. Smith (Marco), Laurie Hill (Wayne Sr.), Leslie R. Parker, Sharon Dennis and Brenda Jones; a host of grandchildren; sister, Cassandra Tabb (John Sr.); special friend, Sister Joyce Gill; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and many sorrowing friends.
