Elizabeth Shontrell Middleton, 42, peacefully transitioned from this life on February 12, 2026.
Born on September 15, 1983, Elizabeth was a proud graduate of Terry Parker High School, Class of 2003. She furthered her education at the University of North Florida, demonstrating her commitment to growth and personal development.
Elizabeth was employed as a Dietary Aide at Life Care Center of Orange Park, where she faithfully served and cared for others with dedication and compassion. Her warm spirit and willingness to help made her a cherished colleague and friend.
She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Middleton.
Elizabeth leaves to cherish her precious memories, her loving mother, Lillie Mae Johnson (life partner, Keith Wright); her beloved son, Robert Jones Jr.; her long-term companion, Thomas Gibson; her siblings, Pamela Johnson-Butler (Gerald), Tracy Johnson (Daeshawn), Heather Jenkins, Darrell Jenkins, Tonya Middleton, John Middleton and Joshua Middleton.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories, Me'kale Brown, Saquita and SaQueena Johnson, beloved children of Pamela Johnson-Butler; A'Qevon and Qe'Sean Mercer, Aleya and Aaliyah Jackson, dearly loved children of Heather Jenkins. Shanda Middleton, adored child of John Middleton.
Elizabeth further leaves her lifelong best friend, Jennifer Andrews, whose bond of sisterhood remained steadfast through the years, Adrell Gibson, and a host of extended family members, relatives, and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Elizabeth will be remembered for her loving nature, her dedication to family, and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life. Though her time here was far too short, the impact of her presence will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
Her legacy of love, resilience, and devotion will never be forgotten.
