Erica Cornelia Jackson

Erica Cornelia Jackson, a Surgical Tech and mother of two children, died unexpectedly on Sunday, December 6, 2025, at age 36, while on an outing with her friend.

Erica is survived by her parents, Carolyn Jackson Simmons and Cornelius James Jackson (Janet); her children, Joy Henderson and Journei Jackson; her grandfather, Edward Lee Jackson; her sisters, Latoya and Jessica; step siblings, Ricky, Napoleon, Tiffany and Jessica; her aunts and uncles, Debora Jackson Liner (James), Levert Jackson, Judy Hatcher (Neal), Tiffany Jackson, Marvin Jackson, Curtis Jackson Jr., Deborah Reed, Pat Coleman, Erica Spencer, and Karen Reynolds (Gary); nephews, Tony Fulton and Christopher Robinson (Kai); niece, Sa’Niyha Fulton; her sister/cousin, Valeria Price (Hans); and a host of other cousins and relatives and sorrowing friends. She was predeceased by her grandmothers, Shirley Jackson Robinson and Ethel J. Daniels; and grandfather, Curtis Raymond Jackson Sr. 

Erica was born in Jacksonville, Florida on May 14, 1989. She graduated from First Coast High School in 2007. She was a spiritual woman who attended Church of Sanctuary and Praise. She obtained her degree in Medical as a Surgical Tech and worked at St. Vincent's Medical Hospital and Baptist South Hospital. 

Erica was a devoted mother to her two beautiful daughters, where she always took pride in making sure her children never went without. Erica made sure every morning that the girls was dressed and ready to go to school while she worked two jobs providing as a single mother. 

Erica was the life of the party; she liked to play spades with family and friends. She was a social butterfly that could light up a room with her smile. She loved taking her children on trips and calling her family and making jokes. She will be deeply missed by family and friends, and all who knew her.
